unconquerable

’tis another cold night (thanks to full-blast airconditioning as per Xerxes’ orders) and we again have… (drumroll please) NF!!!! woohooo!!!

i’d like to share something that has, for a long time now, been inspiring me to continue to tread this path i am on.

William Ernest Henley’s Invictus.

I first encountered the term “Invictus”, w/c is Latin for “unconquered”, as a sticker on a jeep owned by a very close priest family friend from Bohol. said jeep was a mighty little thing. one we used to navigate the busy city streets of Tagbilaran as well as up the rugged path of a hill in Loay known to the locals as Himuntagon (i think they call it Morning Hills now). hope to be back there soon… ’nuff said.

Invictus

Out of the night that covers me,

ahhh… so much for slaving away for eight freakin’ hours. at least, me and my fellow CEDs can rest for a bit. this sure is GOOOOOOOOOOOD… i hope this lasts. but then again, nothing good lasts forever. we’re actually bracing ourselves for the day when the s*%t hits the fan. you see, this quarter is supposed to be peak season and yet, here we are having nothing to do but surf the net and read emails and blogs…

so, for the moment, while it lasts…

anyway, got myself a new bass guitar. and i love it to bits — itsy bitsy bits… I just couldn’t put it down the day I got it.

i’ve decided to name it but, for the life of me, I couldn’t think of one. any suggestions?

this is what’s been eating most of my time… *heeeheee* i miss playing in a band. it’s been years since i’ve done one of the things i absolutely luuurve doin. so watcha say you let my lack of posts pass this time?
